Our Philosophy
Samsara is a way of life. The idea that we are part of a cyclic existence is meant to help us understand that you and I could be anyone in our next life. Meaning that we could lose the privileges and power we have today, we could be truly vulnerable. Thus, Samsara teaches you to think of other beings, as a symbol for what you could be in your next life and treat them so. We have all been dealt a hand, just some of our luck that it has been a good one.
Anya grew up in a Jain household and carries Jain philosophy with her in life. Samsara is a part of her childhood and an idea that has shaped who she is. Samsara simply refers to our worldly life that is subject to reincarnation. We are re-birthed and re-incarnated into various different forms of life. As we work to get out of this mundane existence, we must work towards nirvana. Anya believes that her nirvana will be found in social change and working towards that change.
